Death: Ireland Ehrfurth Bicycle Accident, Mosinee Middle School student died in deadly crash

It has been determined that Ireland Ehrfurth, a young girl of eleven years old, passed away after being struck by a vehicle while she was riding her bicycle. The collision took place in the 1200 block of Western Avenue at approximately six o’clock on Wednesday evening. There is a Napa Auto Parts store in close proximity to that area. In accordance with the Mosinee Police Department, the driver of a pick-up truck was heading west on Western Avenue and was getting closer to the crossroads where Willow Street and Western Avenue meet.

A collision occurred with the bicyclist as she was crossing Western Avenue in a northbound direction. The collision occurred as she was entering the junction. It has been reported by the police that the motorist, a man from Kronenwetter who is 54 years old, was cooperative throughout the inquiry and was thus released from the scene. Both alcohol and speed were not issues, according to the police.

During the course of the inquiry, both lanes of traffic on Western Avenue were shut down. The route was reopened about 12:45 a.m. on Thursday. During his time at Mosinee Middle School, Ehrfurth was a student.
