About Ashlee Hopkins

During her two years as development director at Bur Oak, Ashlee Louise (Davis) Hopkins had a significant influence. She was committed to changing Iowa’s conservation landscape and took great satisfaction in her efforts to increase the organization’s level of support. Ashlee was a dependable person who showed much concern for the residents of Bur Oak, especially in times of stress.

Despite her position at the land trust, Ashlee was so much more. Ashlee’s bright, hilarious, and persistent personality was a blessing to her family, friends, and the community as a whole. In addition to being someone you just wanted to be around, Ashlee served as a mentor, confidante, and connector. She was a bright spot in our office, and many of us are lucky to have known her at that period. Her absence is painful, and we shall be sad for a very long time.
