Bill Brewster, a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, and the Board Chairman of Giving Kitchen and Kilpatrick Townsend’s managing partner has passed away. He was announced dead by Giving Kitchen in a statement that read “It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend, long-time supporter, and Giving Kitchen Board Chair, Bill Brewster. His sudden and unexpected death has left us shocked and deeply saddened.”

Who was Bill Brewster?

Bill Brewster focusses on lawsuits related to unfair competition, trademarks, and deceptive advertising. Mr. Brewster was Kilpatrick Townsend’s managing partner for six years, beginning in 2001. After serving as the IP Department chair, he became a managing partner, which gave him a unique mid-career first-hand knowledge with clients and their businesses as well as the legal industry.

He presently serves on the firm’s pro bono committee and was co-chair of the 100-lawyer Trademark & Copyright Team. Mr. Brewster taught ethics as an adjunct at the University of Virginia School of Law in addition to trademark law for 14 years as an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law. At the moment, he belongs to the Farmington Country Club, Capital City Club, and Lawyers Club of Atlanta.
